I had a great meeting last Friday with a few women from the Morgridge Center who are planning a program for Undergraduates and Graduate Students called "Science Shop." I'll share more in class, but they have been compiling a list of partnerships between UW Faculty/Students and organizations focusing on neighborhoods of South Park Street. In addition, they would like to start cooking classes/activities for children in daycares and elementary schools. During the meeting, we also ran in to Stephen Ventura (who I mentioned a few weeks back) and he is more than happy to share his data with us!
I'm excited for this week!
